Sydney is one of the great harbour cities of the world and is located on the eastern seaboard of Australia.
The port of Sydney is divided into two areas:
Sydney Harbour includes the two cruise vessel terminals in Darling Harbour, the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay and Shell Gore Cove. The Darling Harbour cargo berths, Car Terminal at Glebe Island, Glebe Island bulk materials & White Bay facilities will all be relocated from Sydney Harbour to Wollongong within the next 12 months.
Port Botany is located a few kilometres south of Sydney Harbour and is Australia’s second largest container port behind Port Melbourne and handles approximately one third of Australia’s container trade. The proposed expansion of Port Botany Container Terminal will form an integral piece of the strategy for trade growth in NSW in the long term.
Containers (approx. 90%) are transported from Port Botany to the Sydney metropolitan area and surrounds.
Tourism is very important to Sydney and the cruise industry plays a vital part for Sydney Harbour hosting yearly visits from world class luxury liners.
ISS Sydney port office premises are located at Botany along with experienced staff dedicated to delivering a comprehensive range of services with a commitment to excellence.
