Hobart is the capital city of Tasmania and is located on the Derwent River in the state’s south-east region. Hobart is home to over 205,000 people and is the financial and administrative centre of Tasmania.
The Port of Hobart is managed by the Tasmanian Ports Corporation. It a deepwater port and with major rail and road links is a key base for commercial, cruise and naval vessel operations. Australian Antarctic research and supply vessels also operate from the port. The large harbour is sheltered, fog free and, with a rise and fall of only about one metre, virtually unaffected by tides.
The port has 16 berths, three of which are privately owned. The berths service a variety of products including bulk, container, fuel, and fertiliser. With five cruise berths, the Port of Hobart hosts over 20 cruise ships each summer.
The team at ISS Hobart is committed to excellence and providing comprehensive agency services to their Principals.
