ISS-Manaus was established in October 2002 as part of the company’s expansion process and focused on this strategically located port for controlling the Amazonas. Initially there were eight employees handling cruise, bulk carriers, gas and oil tankers and container ships. The ISS-Manaus office looks after all Amazon ports of call from the Brazilian boarder with Colombia and Peru up to the port of Bélem.
ISS handles around 95% of all cruise ships calling at the Amazon ports and handles approximately 50% of gas tankers as Owners Protecting Agents at the port of Manaus.
The majority of the staff speak fluent English and all have a wealth of experience in the shipping market giving our customers a high level of service and consistently professional handling of their operations.
The Amazon is one of the most important channels in South America connecting the inland ports to the Atlantic and as such Inchcape is very proud of its strong presence in this area.
