Cambodia is a country of over 14 million people in Southeast Asia, importing everything, including raw materials. Its largest export is clothing manufacture, accounting for 90% of Cambodia’s total exports.
Inchcape Shipping Services (Cambodia) Ltd was established in 2009 and is a 100% ISS owned entity, with the current business focusing solely on NYK liner services. Whilst ISS Cambodia was initially set up as a liner agency, expansion into other marine related business streams is already being progressed.
There are two sea ports in Cambodia, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh:
Sihanoukville port is located on the south coast, about 230 km from Phnom Penh city and handles the majority of Cambodia's trade.
The Port of Phnom Penh is located within the city itself, but has very limited capacity due to draught restrictions. The port can handle barges with a maximum capacity of up to 120 TEUs and expansion has been approved, with future capacity envisaged to reach six times the current availability.
ISS Cambodia has a good mix of experience and has received training on the ShipNet Liner and DREAM applications. We are also familarised with the ISS QA and HSSE, ethics and corporate standards, which helps us to drive a commitment to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction.
