The Port of Walvis Bay is often referred to as ‘the land of open spaces’, as it is strategically located half way down the coast of Namibia, offering direct access to principal shipping routes and a natural gateway for international trade.

Walvis Bay is Namibia's largest commercial port, receiving approximately 3,000 vessel calls each year and handling around 5 million tonnes of cargo. It has a sheltered deepwater harbour which benefits from a temperate climate.
