Inchcape Shipping Services’ origins date to back to 1847. Today, 175 years later, the company is recognised as one of the world’s largest and most respected maritime services providers, employing more than 2,800 professionals across its global network of 240 offices, spanning 60 countries.

From our UK roots, dating back to Campbeltown on Scotland’s west coast in 1847, we’ve been at the forefront of the global shipping services industry, maintaining a vanguard spirit to the changes the sector has witnessed. As part of our 175 anniversary celebrations, we’ll be highlighting key moments in our history and how they have shaped us into the business we are today, still leading the way and still making history.

Seafarer wellbeing has been an important topic for Inchcape in recent years and, as part of our 175 anniversary, we’re proud to be partnering with the Sailors’ Society’s Wellness at Sea programme, sharing helpful advice and focusing on what Inchcape can do to support seafarers and realise a safer shipping industry for everyone’s benefit.
